Junior Piano is designed for ages 7-9. In this age range, it is not too late for children to develop their ear for music. Children at this age can also take on more complex cognitive skills. In language, children of this age can learn to write their own stories. Likewise, in music, children of this age can also take on more complex cognitive skills, such as music composition. They will also learn to understand and interpret the different styles and composers in classical music. Children who have only 3 hours of week for their piano lessons and practice can still develop piano skills, and they will acquire a foundation for music appreciation that will last a lifetime. It is their last chance to truly develop their ear.
