Piano For Young

(ABRSM Prepare Course Level 1-3)

Age 3 -8

Develop inner hearing for the sound of art - Music! Children learn to speak without formal instruction – they absorb language through interacting with people and their environment. The Gong Chen Chen Piano course is based on the concept that young children should learn music naturally, by interacting with the piano in the class environment, the same way that they learn language. It is designed taking into account the psychological and physical development of young children. Unlike traditional instruction, each concept is introduced in playful manner so that children have fun, and at the same time they learn distinct music and piano skills. They should see the piano as one of their toys, with which they can have fun and learn .

Educational Course

Piano For Tween Age 10 -14

(ABRSM Level 6 - 8)

Piano Grade 6 - 8 exams consist of three pieces, chosen by the candidate from the appropriate lists in the current syllabus, scales and arpeggios, sight-reading and aural tests.

PREREQUISITE FOR ENTRY: ABRSM Grade 5 (or above) in Music Theory, Practical Musicianship or any solo Jazz subject.

Piano For Junior

( ABRSM Level 4-5)

age 7 - 10

Understand and explore the music by interact with piano.

Junior Piano is designed for ages 7-9. In this age range, it is not too late for children to develop their ear for music. Children at this age can also take on more complex cognitive skills. In language, children of this age can learn to write their own stories. Likewise, in music, children of this age can also take on more complex cognitive skills, such as music composition. They will also learn to understand and interpret the different styles and composers in classical music. Children who have only 3 hours of week for their piano lessons and practice can still develop piano skills, and they will acquire a foundation for music appreciation that will last a lifetime. It is their last chance to truly develop their ear.
